Practical Applications
Put Faith into Practice
Practice listening, point others to Christ, and build relationships as a church.
This Week, This Month, and Ongoing

Carry these practices into your conversations, your group, and the places where you show up together.

This Week

Identify one person in your life who, like the eunuch, appears to be searching. Commit to one intentional act of listening toward that person before your group meets again. Ask a genuine question about their life and resist the urge to fill the silence.

Practice what the pastor called the "Gaza hermeneutic." Choose one passage of Scripture you are currently reading and spend time asking: How does this text point to Christ? How would I explain that connection to someone who has never heard the gospel?

This Month

As a group, identify a shared space - an apartment complex, a workplace corridor, a school, a neighborhood block - where you could begin to show up consistently and build relationships. Pray over it together before you go.

Share your testimony with your group. Practice telling the story of how God met you at your point of deepest need. The goal is not a polished presentation but an honest account that others can learn to recognize in their own lives.

Ongoing

Memorize the core truth from this sermon: God is absolutely sovereign over the spread of the gospel, and His appointed means to bring it about is the church. Let that truth be both a relief and a call to action. You are not responsible for the outcome. You are responsible for the obedience.

Carry It Into the Week
Trust God with the outcome and take the next step of obedience in sharing the gospel.
